A valedictory visit to the stripped shell of Caledonian MacBrayne's MV Jupiter at the shipbreaker's yard in Grenaa, Denmark. This was the first British-flag ship I ever sailed on back in 1976.

  1. Very interesting pictures of a much-loved Clyde Ferry (1773-2010). She also had two sisters and all three were affectionately known as 'Clyde Streakers'. Juno was broken up on the Clyde at Rosneath and Saturn was finally withdrawn on 30th August 2011 and is now in hot-lay up at her berth at Rosneath awaiting a final decision about her fate.
