Knud E. Hansen A/S: 75 Years of Ship Design


Today, I received my first actual copy of my new 75th anniversary book about Knud E. Hansen A/S from Ferry Publications. I must say, I'm rather thrilled about it - even although modesty really ought to forbid. It is a superb-looking production, very clean and with many hundreds of beautiful photographs, plus a 98,000-word text. Holding the big epic in my hand makes me wonder how I ever managed actually to research and write it in the timeframe. Writing the captions alone was one heck of an undertaking. But now 'tis done.

Tableaux Vivants at The Glasgow School of Art

On Thursday evening, Glasgow School of Art students who had participated in my colleague Robyne Calvert's 'Artistic Dress' elective course staged 'tableaux vivants' in various locations around the Mackintosh Building. They were quite fantastically brilliant, I thought. So, kudos to Robyne and to everybody who took part.
